ParadoX
Created and directed by Jaba Melkadze, co-founder of Icebreaker, ParadoX is the first Georgian drama ever sold abroad. The first season premiered in 2014 with 5 episodes in Georgia and following its success was sold to Ukraine, where it premiered in 2014. For the second season, Ukrainian side signed a co-production deal and a mutual project, featuring Ukrainian actors premiered in both countries in 2015.
The main appeal of Paradox was that it mixed classic elements of an apocalyptic horror series with deeper human conflicts of characters and constant suspense that kept the audience longing for more.
Discover Georgia
Filmed in 2018 Discover Georgia was a project aimed to promote winter sports competitions in the country. The objective of the video was to tell about Georgia’s rich history on winter sports and showcase ski resorts of the international standards. Although not for the wider audience, this reel was aimed to be shown as part of Georgia’s government efforts to promote country’s ability to host winter sports competitions and move Georgia up to the list as a prefered host for Winter Olympics.
The production process took place in early 2018. ICEBREAKER team filmed the video on different locations and fully managed the production proccess.
My Georgia
The project for promotional video My Georgia came to ICEBREAKER in mid-2017 and was shot in August of the same year. This was an interesting and challenging project in both production and musical sides. The singers in the video are not professionals, but instead normal residents of different parts of Georgia. They were filmed and recorded on location, with the sound being mixed on the spot.
The video served its purpose and was a great promotion to the client. On Facebook, it had 1.3M views, and on youtube, it earned 700 k views after it was posted. ICEBREAKER is very proud of the production quality and the success of the concept.
The Kitchen
Although produced before ICEBREAKER was formed, this TV format was adapted to Georgian audience by the core team of ICEBREAKER. The kitchen is a Russian format that was licensed and produced in Georgia in 2015. The ICEBREAKER team acted as producers and showrunners, fully supervising the production process and evaluating the end product.
The Kitchen was one of the first scripted formats produced in Georgia in recent years and the show came back for the second season and became one of the most loved sitcoms for 2015-2016 TV seasons.
